Kanye West Can Do No Wrong

Even though what Kanye west said was stupid, I can't help but like him. I heard a replay of his comments and it just sounded like someone who was so emotional that he wasn't in complete control. I find his out-bursts kind of winsome and childlike. For some reason no matter what he says I'm not offended. Maybe it's just because he can write the kind of words he wrote in Jesus Walks that I think that. Am I alone?

No -- I like him too. And what he said took balls.

You know, I have read what he said over and over and I can't make much sense out of it. As far as being offended. I have stopped caring what Hollywood or entertainers think. I am not saying that they never have valid points or aren't intitled to their opinions or that I disagree with them all of the time. It is just when I watch their movies and their videos or see them in interviews, I just get the feeling that they think that they are superior or experts just because of their fame. It has just become laughable. If you want to see the best comedy in the world, listen to Julia Roberts or John Travolta speak without something being written down for them first. One begins to see them as glistening jewels of colossal ignorance. Of course that is just my opinion. "YOU DON'T KNOW, FANCY GEOFF! I DO!" ;-)

Yeah, it did take balls. I think the reason I like him so much is that he says what he is really thinking. What he is saying is genuine and there is usually something valid in his tantrums.

Jeff, I understand what you are saying but, for the reason stated above, I don't put him in the same category as the Julia Roberts' and John Travoltas'. He gives us the respect of saying what he actually believes not what he wants us to think he believes for publicity's sake.

I give anyone respect who alows him/herself to be that vunerable.
